News Box

We often hear that change is the norm and we are a movement , well it's true and changes are a foot within the training community. Module 16 will shortly be changing to reflect the fact that many leaders new to scouting and completing their wood badge will not be feel comfortable in leading a residential experience until their confidence has increased by attending residential experiences managed by other leaders who have done it a couple of times before.
We are awaiting final details but it appears that module 16 will be reduced in content and time and a new module will be introduced as an on going learning experience to cover the practical sided of camping skills.
Consequently the Autumn Nights away course will be the last one we run in the present format. Numbers are limited on this course at the best of times due to the size of the venue and as this course is jointly run with Birmingham Training team we reserve a number of spaces for them, so if you want to do the module in the old format this with be the last opportunity for you to do so.
Also do not forget the exec training workshop at the end of the month we still have a few places left and the skills weekend which will be here before you know it. Finally we are running a decorating skills workshop in the front room of 426 Tile Hill Lane Coventry so on your way to Rough Close give an eyes right and see the progress (or not) being made please spare a thought for the poor so and so at the top of the ladder.

In addition should your group have a particular training need or If you’re interested in any of these courses or have any questions on training please drop me an email via neil.adcock@sky.com
