Andrew Morris has been officially appointed as our new County Commissioner by Gilwell. He will start his new role on the 2nd April 2016

As many of you know Andrew has been Deputy to Graham for his term and is now stepping into the new role with vibrant and exciting ideas.

Please see statement below from  Dan Potter – Regional Commissioner for the West Midlands

I am delighted to announce that following a successful conclusion to the Coventry CC Search Process over the last few months, I have appointed today Andrew Morris as the new County Commissioner for Coventry.
Andrew Morris is well known to many of you in a number of capacities.  Scout leader, Active Support Manager, County adviser for staged productions and training advisor. Andrew has also sat on both County and District appoint advisory committees - and currently holds the Deputy County Commissioner, Coventry appointment.
Andrews's new role as County Commissioner - Coventry will start on the 2nd April 2016 for the next 3 years or so - with a very brief handover period from Graham Howe, current County Commissioner, Coventry.
As well as his Scouting activities, Andrew has held a number of senior roles leading large teams outside of Scouting and brings a wealth of experience at all levels and is really looking forward to embracing this new challenge.
Andrew has demonstrated particularly his passion in the area of Scout Gang Shows; Youth Engagement; Growing Groups and developing and inspiring young people in local communities. All are key ingredients and are essential elements to the success and future direction of Scouting. I know Andrew will 'give it his all' to lead Coventry through all of these opportunities… and more.
At the same time I would like to add my thanks to Graham Howe, Coventry County Commissioner for his support and leadership over the last few years, and dealing with Compass restoration; Census 2016  and a number of Sectional activities, particularly the Regional support days for a number of Sections throughout the West Midlands.
Please join me in welcoming Andrew to his new role.  I ask you all to support him and the various County Leadership teams throughout the County as we start the processes of transition.

Yours sincerely,
Dan Potter
Regional Commissioner - West Midlands, England
